Long a favorite stopover on U.S. Highway 281 at the northern entryway to the Texas Hill Country, Hamilton has become an Art designation. Our town boasts four working artists on The Square, an active Art Association, a beautiful limestone Courthouse in the last stages of a major reconstruction effort, many charming Bed and Breakfast establishments, and great locally owned restaurants. It makes for a very nice weekend getaway or a family vacation.
The Ramsey Collection
The Ramsey Collection is located on The Square at the crossroads of U.S. Highway 281 and U.S. Highway 36. A forty-year collection of Old Masters, American Masters, European painters, and Modernists is housed in a newly renovated two-story limestone building facing the Courthouse.
